Welcome to Great Lent

Our Church invites everyone to come to services during Great Lent and be fulfilled by the spiritual journey it offers us. Our goal during this Holy time in the Church is for families to reunite with their Church, in order to reconnect with God’s peace and unconditional love that He continuously sheds upon us. Our ministry leaders would love for our Church members to feel fed spiritually and to have gained a new confidence in faith, along with a renewed dedication to raising their families according to our traditional Christian teachings. We understand that all of us need a greater dose of these things in our lives and we are dedicated to serve and help offer this experience to all who attend.

Please note that you do NOT need to RSVP for weekday, Friday or Saturday services during Lent. RSVP at this time is ONLY necessary for indoor Sunday Divine Liturgy and Holy Week Services.

Below is a schedule of Lenten Services and Activities at Saint Basil. You can print the schedule and it is also up to date on our website. Please pay attention to church emails as things can change rapidly due to the ever changing COVID guidelines.

COVID 19 Update

Please support our Seminarians! The Philoptochos Light the Path Celebration is held annually to raise money to support Hellenic College seminarian’s tuition, books, living expenses, etc. This year the event is being held virtually on Zoom so all men, women and children of our parish are able to participate in this 1½ hour long event on Dec 5th at 2:00 PST. Seminarians will be giving a tour of Hellenic College, there will be Christmas singers to enjoy, and of course a message from His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos along with a few surprises.

The event is free so please RSVP today or directly donate at https://donate.onecause.com/light-the-path-2020, we are hoping that St. Basil’s has the best attendance in the Metropolis. Thank you!
